The experienced Tim Southee was the pick of the bowlers, picking up one wicket for 16 runs from his four overs. All the bowlers, such as Adam Milne, James Neesham, Ben Sears, and Mitchell Santner, picked up a wicket apiece. Only Ish Sodhi did not contribute much to the New Zealand bowling effort. The New Zealand team will again look at these bowlers to pick up vital breakthroughs in the second game.
