Karnataka

The Karnataka outfit is being led by Mayank Agarwal in this competition. The top-order batting for Karnataka is in the hands of batters such as Devdutt Padikkal, Manish Pandey, and Ravikumar Samarth. The Karnataka bowling will be handled by the likes of Vijaykumar Vyshak, Prasidh Krishna, Praveen Dubey, Vidwath Kaverappa, and Vasuki Kaushik in this game. The Karnataka team can use three different players to be their wicketkeeper in this match. They are LR Chethan, BR Sharath, and Krishnan Shrijith.

There are some good all-rounders available to Karnataka such as Manoj Bhandage, Krishnappa Gowtham, Shubhang Hegde, and Abhinav Manohar. Karnataka has had a much better time in the SMAT this year than Tripura. They did lose the last game they played though. This game was against Uttar Pradesh and was played on 25th October in Dehradun. The Uttar Pradesh team batted first in this game to score 196 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. The Karnataka team was unable to chase this big score and was bowled out for 156 runs.

The entire Karnataka team was bowled out in 18.3 overs and UP succeeded in registering a comfortable win by a margin of 40 runs. During the UP innings, the pick of the bowlers for Karnataka was Krishnappa Gowtham who picked up 2 wickets for 35 runs from his 4 overs. The only other bowlers that picked up a wicket apiece were Prasidh Krishna and Vjaykumar Vyshak. Karnataka lost a couple of early wickets and was never in contention for a win in this match. The top run-getter for Karnataka in this game was their skipper Mayank Agarwal who scored 59 runs from 35 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes.  

Tripura

The Tripura team is being led by the former India cap and wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha. The Tripura top-order batting will be handled by Sudip Chatterjee, Bikramkumar Das, Rajat Dey, and Ganesh Satish. There are some good all-rounders on show here for Tripura as well such as Amit Ali and Manisankar Murasingh. The Tripura bowling attack will be in the hands of bowlers such as Parvez Sultan, Sankar Paul, and Ajay Sarkar. These players will need to do well for Tripura to beat the Karnataka team.

The Tripura team is going into this game after having to endure four losses in a row in the competition. The last game they played in SMAT was against Delhi. This game was also played in Dehradun on 25th October. Batting first, Delhi raised a decent score of 169 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Tripura was never in contention to reach the target. They were bowled out for the score of 83 runs from 14.1 overs to hand over a win to Delhi by a huge margin of 86 runs. Manisankar Murasingh was the only bowler who looked like picking a wicket during the Delhi inning. 

Murasingh returned with figures of 4-0-31-2. Viki Saha and Ajay Sarkar picked up a wicket apiece. The Tripura batting ran into trouble early on in their reply and never recovered from the early loss of wickets. The only batter that reached double figures was Bikramkumar Das. He scored 45 runs from 33 balls with 7 fours and 1 six. Other batters such as Sudip Chatterjee Nirupam Sen, and Ganesh Satish will need to step up their game if the Tripura outfit has to have any hopes of winning the game against Karnataka.
