RR vs LSG Match Preview
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Joss Buttler have been pretty consistent at the top of the order and have provided the team with many good starts. Devdutt Padikkal has played well in a couple of matches but has failed to convert his starts into big inning. The biggest advantage that RR has is its flexibility to play players suitable to the conditions.
Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmeyer are both in excellent form in the middle order and the team can rely on them to steady the innings during the middle overs. They can also accelerate should the need arise. Dhruv Jurel is shaping up to be a nice finisher, while Ravichandran Ashwin and Jason Holder add depth to the batting.
Just like the batsmen, the bowlers too have been pretty consistent for the Royals. Yuzvendra Chahal has picked up 11 wickets while Ashwin has got 6. Throw Adam Zampa in the mix and you have one of the most potent spin attacks in the league.
Similarly, the seam attack appears quite strong too, thanks to the likes of Sandeep Sharma, Trent Boult, and Jason Holder.
LSG will depend heavily on KL Rahul to give them a good start alongside Kyle Mayers with players like Nicholas Pooran and Marcus Stoinis giving them the push in the end. We don't like their startegy of pushing up players like Krunal Pandya or Deepak Hooda to try and take the game deep because they often end up eating into valuable resources.
Still, that is something that LSG has been doing for quite a while now and is unlikely to change.
Mark Wood and Ravi Bishnoi are the two best bowlers in the lineup and will play a big role against a strong RR batting lineup.
