The Paarl Royals are the most consistent team this season. With 5 wins in 6 matches, the team is sitting pretty at the top of the points table and enjoys a hefty lead over the bottom half of the table.

Jos Buttler is in excellent form at the top of the order and has scored 245 runs so far at an average of 49.00. He is the top run-getter for his team and is also among the top-scorers of this season. His opening partner, Jason Roy, has played well in a couple of matches but the team will expect a more consistent performance from him.

There is no dearth of firepower in the middle order thanks to the presence of Mitchell van Buuren, Wihan Lubbe, and Dane Vilas. Vilas, who was playing his first match of the season on Wednesday, played an impressive knock of 42 from just 26 deliveries.

The team also has a couple of quality all-rounders in the form of Andile Phehlukwayo and Fabian Allen, who add depth to the batting. The performance of the bowlers has been another highlight for the Royals. Lungi Ngidi is the leading wicket-taker of this season with 11 wickets and will once again lead the pace attack.

He will be supported by Obed McCoy and Phehlukwayo, who have picked up 6 wickets each. The spinners, Tabraiz Shamsi and Bjorn Fortuin have bowled well too, picking up 10 wickets between them.

After making a strong start to their campaign, the Durban Super Giants saw a slight dip in their form with back-to-back losses. However, the team did manage to get back to winning ways in their latest fixture played against the MI Cape Town. The team is currently placed 2nd on the points table, trailing Paarl by 4 points.

Matthew Breetzke has been a consistent performer at the top of the order and is also the leading run-scorer for his team. However, he has received little support from his regular opening partner Quinton de Kock, whose prolonged lean patch continues. De Kock was replaced by de Zorzi in the opening slot during the last match. De Zorzi got a good start and is likely to retain his place.

Heinrich Klaasen is in excellent form as he has scored 200 runs at a strike rate of over 180.00. He will be joined in the middle order by all-rounders JJ Smuts, Wiaan Mulder, and Marcus Stoinis. The team also has plenty of variety in the bowling unit. Reece Topley has bowled a couple of excellent spells to pick up a total of 8 wickets.

He will be supported by Naveen Ul-Haq, Stoinis, and Mulder in the seam department, while Keshav Maharaj and Noor Ahmad will feature in the spin attack.
