KKR vs SRH Match Preview
KKR has a powerful striker at the top of the batting line-up in the form of Rahmanullah Gurbaz, while Andre Russell and Sunil Narine can take up the finishing duties. The top-order has flundered a bit but Gurbaz, Rana, and Iyer seems to be hitting form at the right time.
Of course, Rinku Singh has done enough to show that he is a real asset in the middle order.
The return of Lockie Ferguson has further strengthened KKR’s pace attack consisting of Umesh Yadav, Tim Southee, and Shardul Thakur, while the spin attack is pretty good too with plenty of experienced slower bowlers including Sunil Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy.
The Sunrisers have a strong batting line-up on paper. But except for Rahul Tripathi, none of the batsmen have managed to impress so far. Harry Brook, who is among the most expensive overseas player for this season, has managed to score just 26 runs in his 3 innings so far. Similarly, the likes of Mayank Agarwal and Glen Phillips have failed to get going. We are not looking past Brook just yet, but there is no doubt he needs to perform.
Aiden Markram, who was out for a duck in his first game of the season, has managed to get some runs under his belt and will be looking to put up another big score here, while Heinrich Klaasen will play the role of a finisher. All-rounders Marco Jansen and Washington Sundar do add some depth to the batting.
SRH has a strong pace attack consisting of Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, and T Natarajan, and they will be hoping to put up a good show against the in-form batsmen of KKR.
