The Durban Super Giants have won both its matches so far and are sitting at the top of the table. While these are still early days in the tournament, the team will look to extend its winning run to ensure a smooth journey to the playoffs.

The Super Giants boast of an explosive batting lineup that has delivered the goods in both matches. Matthew Breetzke and Quinton de Kock are likely to open the batting here. De Kock has had a lean patch off late but Breetzke has batted well in both games.

Nicholas Pooran and Heinrich Klaasen too are in good touch and can play some big shots at any stage of the match. All-rounder JJ Smuts, who was playing his first match of the season on Saturday, put up an excellent show, scoring 75 runs and also picking up 2 wickets.

While their first match was washed out due to rain, they faced a heavy defeat at the hands of MI Cape Town in their next match and were placed 5th on the points table with the worst NRR among all teams.

Nevertheless, there are plenty of matches yet to be played and it is just a matter of time before the team bounces back. Faf du Plessis and Reeza Hendricks are among the most explosive opening pairs in the league. The duo fell cheaply in the match against MI on Saturday and will hope to turn things around in this match.

Leus Du Plooy was in fine form as he scored 48 runs off just 24 deliveries, albeit for a losing cause. He will be supported by Ronan Hermann and Donovan Ferreira in the middle order. The team also has some quality all-rounders in the form of Moeen Ali and Romario Shepherd, both of whom can hit some lofty strikes in the death overs.

There is plenty of scope for improvement when it comes to bowling and that is something that the team will need to work on in this match. While Nandre Burger continues to take wickets, he was very expensive, giving away more than 13 runs per over.

He will supported by Romario Shepherd and Lizaad Williams in the pace department, with both of them picking up 1 wicket each. There are quite a few options in the spin attack with Imran Tahir, Zahir Khan, and Moeen Ali.
