Durban's Super Giants are undefeated this SA20 season. They have strung together back-to-back victories against the Sunrisers Eastern Cape and MI Cape Town. Beating the defending champions Sunrisers recently should give them a particularly important confidence boost ahead of this fixture against Joburg.
Matthew Breetzke and Heinrich Klaasen have emerged as the Super Giant's top run-scorers in 2024. Breetzke is adding plenty of impetus at the top of the order, while Klaasen has been at his big-hitting best in the middle. All-rounder Jon-Jon Smuts and West Indies batter Nicholas Pooran hit half-centuries in Durban's recent victory over the Sunrisers.

The Super Kings' top three batters shared a mere 15 runs against MI Cape Town. Quick, vast improvement is required from Faf du Plessis, Reeza Hendricks and Ronan Hermann - individually and collectively. Leus du Plooy and West Indies all-rounder Romario Shepherd were Joburg's top run-scorers against Cape Town with 48 and 34, respectively.
