David Warner has been consistent but has not had a good strike-rate. While that may not be good for the team, it is not bad from a fantasy point of view. He plays for a long enough time and ensures that he scores in most matches. We think Manish Pandey, Axar Patel, and maybe Rovman Powell (if he is in the team) could be excellent options to consider.
The bowling lineup has some excellent names like Anrich Nortje and Mustafizur Rahman but with the batting misfiring, it may be difficult to play both of them in this match.
The team management will have to come up with a new plan soon before it gets too late to catch up with the other teams. We expect a couple of changes in the playing eleven for this match for sure.
The team will depend on Rahmanullah Gurbaz and N Jagadeesan to give them a good start here. While Gurbaz has played well in patches, Jagadeesan hasn’t been able to carry forward his form from the domestic circuit.
The middle order for KKR is in excellent form and will be carrying the bulk of run-scoring duties. Venkatesh Iyer scored a scintillating century in the last match against MI, albeit for a losing cause, while Nitesh Rana and Rinku Singh are in good form too.
However, the two finishers of the team, Andre Russell and Sunil Narine are yet to showcase their talent.
In the bowling department, the spin trio of Varun Chakaravarthy, Suyash Sharma, and Sunil Narine have done well so far, picking up 19 wickets between them. However, the seamers have struggled to make an impact. If the putch is a bit on the slow side, then the spinners could really be massive in the outcome of the match.
Umesh Yadav has managed just 1 wicket in 5 innings, and Shardul Thakur as well as Lockie Ferguson haven’t been in the best of forms too.
