BAN vs ENG Match Preview

Bangladesh has won both of the matches in the series so far quite convincingly. Shakib Al Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto have both carried their good form from the ODI's into the T20's. Shanto is the only Bangladeshi batter with a fifty to his name with the rest of the batters chipping in with useful cameos.

This is not a series in which you expect too many big scores, though, and the strike rates are also unlikely to be very high.

At home, Bangladesh's bowling attack is also very effective in stopping the opposition batters. Mustafizur Rahman, Mahidy Hasan Miraz, and Shakib Al Hasan are three world-class options before being backed up by Hasan Mahmud and Taskin Ahmed.

The English batting lineup is built to attack on good batting wickets. That is not what you get in Bangladesh. The slowness of the surface and the turn that the spinners get make it difficult to play the high-tempo game England pioneered in many ways.

As a result, England is unable to bat Bangladesh out of the game like it would have been expected to.

In these low-scoring matches, England's bowling becomes a lot more vulnerable since its spinners are good but perhaps not as accustomed as Bangladesh's while playing in slow conditions.

Weather Report

There is no rain expected on match day and the weather should be hot without being uncomfortable.

Pitch Report

The conditions in Dhaka are very bowler-friendly. Scores of around 130-140 have been match-winning and that will continue. Low bounce, sluggish pace, and a generous amount of turn on offer make it difficult to score quickly. We expect the spinners and top-order batters to have the most impact once more.

Notable stats

Najmul Hossain Shanto's Consistency

The highest scorer of this series so far. Shanto has 97 runs in two matches and has been the rock of the Bangladesh batting lineup.

Dream11 Prediction

The odds on offer make it quite attractive to bet on Bangladesh in this match. England is the world champion but in current conditions with a squad that is missing some first-choice players, we think it could be taken down 3-0. We think Bangladesh could win this match.

Top Picks

Najmul Hossain Shanto - One of only two batters to score a fifty, Shanto has scored 97 runs in the series and is a good pick for the final match as well.

Phil Salt - One of the English batters that have underperformed so far but someone who can be a real game changer. He is an opening batter and also capable of scoring very quickly taking advantage of the powerplay.

Shakib Al Hasan - He has taken his game to the next level is contributing brilliantly in all aspects. An excellent choice for captain.
