Australia is close to securing the ODI series against South Africa, as they need just won more win after taking the first two matches. Despite South Africa winning the toss and choosing to field first in the second game, this turned out to be a big mistake, as Australia made a whopping 392 runs. South Africa did okay in the second innings, but were still bowled out for 269 runs.

South Africa
This is going to be an uphill task for South Africa, as they’re yet to win a match in the T20I or ODI series. Still, there’s plenty of optimism here, with Bavuma batting well and managing 160 total runs (thanks mostly to 114* in the first match).
Bavuma still needs a fair bit of support here, but the players most likely to help out are de Kock (56) and Klaasen (63). Markram has been disappointing with only 22 runs in the series.
Bowling is clearly the biggest concern for South Africa, as they are struggling to find ways to slow down the many talented Aussie batters. There are a few glimmers of hope, including spinner Shamsi (4/61) and pacer Rabada (4/127), but these players can’t do it alone.
Ngidi only played in the first match, but he’s been pretty poor so far, only to be replaced by Nortje (who wasn’t much better with 0/58). Coetzee needs to come back, as he was at least somewhat effective in the first match with 2/44. Still, it’ll be down to Rabada and Shamsi to push up their effort meter.

Australia has been changing its final XI fairly often to keep everyone fresh, but you can be sure that Labuschagne will be in the lineup.
Labuschagne entered the first game as a concussion substitute (after Green was hit in the helmet by a bouncer), but went on to score a match-saving 80*. This was no fluke, either, as Labuschagne continued his scintillating form by scoring a massive 124 runs in the second match. The runs were flowing elsewhere, as Warner (106), Head (64) and Inglis (50) all contributed to the score.
There were some questions about whether the younger spinner, Sangha, would take over the spot from Zampa in this series. However, those doubts were put aside when Zampa has already taken 5/90 so far, including a huge 4/48 in the second match. Hazlewood and Abbott have also been solid with 3 wickets each.

Pitch and Conditions
There haven’t been so many ODI games played on this pitch over the years, but so far, the pace bowlers with the new ball are most effective in the first innings. Spinners will play a major role around the 25th over, but there is a great opportunity for any team bowling first to get the advantage.

The Betway odds are quite low for Australia to win, so there’s not a big money return here. However, the odds for South Africa are very generous right now, and it’s certainly worth taking a chance on them in this game. It’s true that they haven’t won a game against Australia in this tour, but they’ve usually played pretty well and haven’t given up yet. Surely they can get at least one victory, right?
If Bavuma can score another century and gets at least half-centuries from de Kock and Klaasen, then a big total of around 350 is possible. The bowling needs to get better and the Aussies can’t get such easy deliveries, but we’ve seen decent overs from Shamsi and Rabada. Hopefully Nortje or Ngidi can start picking up wickets.

Bonus Cricket Bets
It seems unusual to us that de Kock's are higher than Bavuma's, as it's clear that Bavuma has been playing pretty well with 160 runs so far in the ODI games. He might have to work harder on this pitch, but he has shown that he can lead a team with runs.
Given the fact that Labuschagne has already made 204 runs so far, it's a safe bet to believe he'll get over 28.5 runs here. It's a feel-good story, too, as Labuschagne wasn't even supposed to play in this series and was left out of the World Cup squad. He'll be playing hard to prove himself.
The pitch certainly looks good for pace bowlers, and Rabada should play well on home soil. He's been allowing too many runs (127), but there's hope he could lower that. He still has 4 wickets and is one of the few SA bowlers who could trouble the opposition in this game, especially if he bowls 6/16 like he's done before in an ODI game.
Head is one of the most explosive batters in the Aussie team, and there's a good chance he'll pick up at least two sixes. He's had 4 sixes and 15 fours so far in this ODI series, so it's not impossible that he'll keep finding the boundaries in this match.
