MI Cape Town will go into this fixture after defeat to Durban's Super Giants and victory over the Joburg Super Kings. The Cape Town side ended the inaugural edition of the SA20 in last position - and are obviously determined to do a lot better this season.
They have a new captain in West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard and new coach in former Proteas spinner Robin Peterson. They also have the leading run-scorer of the 2024 SA20 so far in opener Ryan Rickelton. He hit 98 against the Super Kings and 87 against the Super Giants recently.
MI Cape Town's overseas recruits include England trio Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran and Olly Stone. Livingstone and Curran are big assets with bat and ball, while Stone bounced back from a poor performance against Durban to impress with figures of two for 18 against Joburg.
The variety in MI Cape Town's bowling attack is extended by the presence of Proteas fast bowler Kagiso Rabada and left-arm seamer Beuran Hendricks. Left-arm spinner George Linde will likely open the bowling again and have the chance to strike during the powerplay.
