Delhi

After its opening fixture against Uttar Pradesh was washed out, Delhi has put up a couple of excellent performances and is coming into this contest on the back of consecutive victories against Madhya Pradesh and Nagaland.

Priyansh Arya and Anuj Rawat are likely to open the batting for Delhi in this match. Anuj Rawat has got good starts in both the games so far but he will need to get a big score as the team faces stiffer competition ahead. Skipper Yash Dhull, who was dismissed for a duck in the match against MP, came back strongly in the last match to score an unbeaten 41 on Thursday.

He, along with Ayush Badoni and Himmat Singh will be the key players for Delhi during the middle overs. The bowlers have played an important part in the team’s unbeaten run so far. Suyash Sharma, who recently made his IPL debut for KKR in the IPL, is in good form and has picked up 7 wickets in 2 innings.

He will head the spin department alongside Lalit Yadav and Shivank Vashisht. Navdeep Saini will start with the new ball with Mayank Yadav supporting him at the other end. 

Karnataka

Karnataka topped their group in the last season but were unlucky to be knocked out during the quarterfinal stage. They have once again started on a strong note, winning their match against Madhya Pradesh quite comfortably.

The seamers, led by Vijaykumar Vyshak, put up an excellent performance to restrict MP to a modest total of 76 runs. Vyshak picked up 3 wickets for 16 runs and was well-supported by Prasidh Krishna and Vidwath Kaverappa, with the latter picking up 2 wickets.

In addition, K Gowtham and Shubhang Hegde bowled an excellent line and length during the middle overs to keep the opposition batsmen under pressure. Karnataka has one of the strongest batting units in the group and will depend on them to take the attack to Delhi bowlers.

Devdutt Padikkal and Mayank Agarwal have plenty of experience in the T20 format and will look to give the team a brisk start. With the likes of Sharath BR, Manish Pandey, and Abhinav Manohar to follow, Karnataka has plenty of depth in its batting.
