Deccan Gladiators

The Deccan Gladiators handed out a 63-run mauling to the Team Abu Dhabi and are back in contention in the competition with other teams such as Samp Army, Delhi Bulls, and New York Strikers. The Deccan Gladiators team has been scoring big scores in every game they have played. They have an in-form batting lineup, and their batters will look to inflict more misery on their opposition bowling attack in this game. Hitting 141 runs within ten overs is no mean task. However, Andre Fletcher set them up with a 12-ball 41 with five sixes.

The Deccan Gladiators bowling attack was right on the money as they put up an excellent performance despite having several runs to play with. Four out of their bowlers went for less than ten runs per over during their defense. Nuwan Thusara and Luke Wood did a fantastic restriction job for Team Abu Dhabi, giving away 5 and 8 runs, respectively. This all-round display has put Deccan Gladiators up the top half of the points table. It remains to be seen whether their bowlers will be able to repeat this performance and consolidate their position in the tally. 

Chennai Braves

The Chennai Braves team is currently ranked in the number six position in the points table with two wins and two losses from their four games. They have not done too poorly in the competition so far. The T10 format is all about assessing the match situation and playing accordingly. The Chennai Braves are nowhere close to being where they wish to be with both bat and ball. Jason Roy has been in sublime touch, though. But that apart, other batters are struggling to find their feet. However, including Sikandar Raza in the team makes the batting more effective.

Chennai Braves picked up a couple of easy points against Northern Warriors. However, their net run rate took a beating. They will have to find ways of winning big in the remainder of games if they are to take a shot at the qualification for the eliminator or qualifier round of the competition. Mohammad Nabi was the top bowler for Chennai in their last game against Warriors. He picked up two wickets for just 11 runs from his two overs. Junaid Siddique also picked up one wicket from his two overs.
