Baroda

Baroda has been clinical in its performance so far, winning both matches quite easily. The team’s last match was played against Mizoram, which was a low-scoring affair.

Baroda's bowlers have done an excellent job so far. Lukman Meriwala has bowled a couple of brilliant spells so far, picking up 3 wickets in each match. He is likely to once again lead the attack with the new ball along with Soyeb Sopariya and Atit Sheth. Amit Passi picked up 4 wickets in the match against J & K and is likely to helm the spin department along with Krunal Pandya and Ninad Rathva.

Pandya, who is also leading the team, scored a brisk half-century in the first match and is the leading run-scorer for the team. The opening pair of Jyotsnil Singh and Harsh Desai isn’t in the best of forms so far but will need to give the team a strong start.

In addition, Baroda has the services of Vishnu Solanki, Shivalik Sharma, and Bhanu Pania in the middle order. 

Mumbai

Mumbai are the defending champions from last season and have carried on their fine form to the current edition too. The huge wins against Haryana and Meghalaya in the first two games mean that Mumbai has a good NRR and is sitting at the top of the points table.

Powered by a brilliant bowling performance by Tushar Deshpande and Shams Mulani, Mumbai restricted Meghalaya to just 65 runs and coasted to a 9-wicket win in under 10 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Angkrish Raghuvanshi are two solid performers at the top of the order.

They will be followed by skipper Ajinkya Rahane, who scored a fluent half-century in the opening game. Mumbai has plenty of firepower in its middle order, including players like Shivam Dube, Sarfaraz Khan, and Prasad Pawar, who can take the attack onto the opposition.

Deshpande will lead the attack with the new ball and will be supported by Dhaval Kulkarni, while Tanush Kotian and Shams Mulani will feature in the spin attack.
