Andhra

Andhra Pradesh is coming into this contest on the back of consecutive losses against Goa and Punjab. They are second-last on the Group C points table, just above Arunachal Pradesh. They will now look to put up a better performance and get their first points of the season.

Ashwin Hebbar and Srikar Bharat haven’t done well as an opening pair and have been dismissed cheaply in both matches. They will need to give a strong start to the team if Andhra wants to post a big total. Ricky Bhui scored an excellent century in the last match but received little support from the batsmen around him.

That said, Andhra does have some quality batsmen including Hanuma Vihari, Shaik Rasheed, and Yara Sandeep who can play a vital role in the middle order. Coming to the bowling, it has been a very average performance. Y Prithvi Raj has picked up two wickets in both games but has been taken for over 14 runs an over.

Similarly, C Steven, Lalith Mohan, and Harishankar Reddy have all been very expensive. Andhra will need to bowl a better line and length to rein in the opposition batsmen. 

Arunachal Pradesh

Just like Andhra, Arunachal too hasn’t been off to the best of starts and has lost both its opening games.<br /> Techi Doria and Kumar Nyompu are likely to open the batting for Arunachal. Both of them are in poor form at the moment and have failed to give the team a good start.

The middle order, consisting of Neelam Obi, Ayush Awasthi, and Divyanshu Yadav, has struggled against quality bowling attacks. Arunachal does have a couple of all-rounders in the form of Aprameya Jaiswal and Techi Neri, who add depth to batting.

The bowling too hasn’t been up to the mark. Arunachal conceded 246 runs in the last match against the Railways, where Ashutosh Sharma scored the fastest half-century by an Indian in T20s. Yorjum Sera and Yab Niya are likely to lead the attack with the new ball.

The team has plenty of options when it comes to spin attack including Jaiswal, Avinash Thapa, Myendung Singpho, and Techi Neri. However, they will need to be more disciplined with their line and length.
