We think the Over/Under line is quite high and can be taken advantage of. The pitches have started to slow down and runs scoring has gone down. Bet the 'Under' for this one.
The odds for this bet are not great but the liklihood of winning this bet is also very high. A safe option to bank 11% on your stake.
As we near the business end of the ongoing ILT20 season, the Desert Vipers will take on the Dubai Capitals in what will be the last group-stage match of the tournament. The two teams will clash on Monday at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
The two teams have faced each other in 3 matches and all of them were won by the Capitals.
This match can be watched live on the FanCode App and Zee5 App.
The Desert Vipers have been the most consistent teams this year, winning 7 of the 9 matches. They are at the top of the table and have already qualified for the playoffs.
Alex Hales and Fakhar Zaman have been brilliant for the Desert Vipers at the top of the order. The duo has scored two half-centuries each and will look to give the team a strong start in this match. Sam Curran has been pretty consistent in the middle order and has also bowled well, picking up 6 wickets.
Max Holden, playing his first game of the season l, scored an excellent half-century on Wednesday and will add heft to the batting. The bowlers have contributed to the team’s success as well. Mohammad Amir is the joint-highest wicket-taker of the team with 11 wickets.
As Lockie Ferguson has recovered from his injury, his inclusion will further strengthen the pace department. Wanindu Hasaranga has been excellent during the middle overs. He has picked up 11 wickets and has an economy rate of under 6 runs.
Despite being rather inconsistent, the Dubai Capitals have done enough to earn 10 points and have qualified for the playoffs. Unless the team scores a massive win here, they will end as either the 3rd or the 4th placed team in the table.
While the batting for the Capitals hasn’t been the best, the return of David Warner to the squad has been a big boost. Warner played some excellent cricket in the recent season of the BBL. He scored a brilliant half-century on his return to the ILT20 and played an important role in his team’s win over the Knight Riders. He will join Shai Hope in the opening slot.
Sam Billings also makes his way back to the team, bolstering the middle order. Gulbadin Naib has been impressive with the bat and the ball, scoring 259 runs and also picking up 9 wickets. However, the team will expect a better performance from Rovman Powell, Dasun Shanaka, and Sikandar Raza.
Obed McCoy and Dushmantha Chameera make up for a decent new-ball pair but they have been expensive at times. Qais Ahmed, who replaced Zahir Khan in the spin department, went wicketless on Sunday.
The team winning the toss will likely opt to bowl first.
The pitch at Sharjah is balanced. The seamers will get some help with the new ball and the batsmen will have to be careful during the PowerPlay. However, as the match progresses, batting becomes easier. The boundaries here aren’t the longest and the outfield is quick as well.
The team batting first will look to score around 180-190 runs. There will be some dew in the second half, making it difficult for the bowlers to grip the ball.
The weather will be clear with temperatures of around 20 degrees.
We are backing the Desert Vipers in winning this match. They have been the most consistent among all franchises this year and have done well in all departments. The Dubai Capitals are a quality side as well but they need to play much better if they want to win here.
Bet on the Desert Vipers to win.
