SRH vs DC Match Preview

The lack of batting form has hurt Sunrisers Hyderabad dearly. While the other teams have been consistently putting up big totals, SRH has failed to cross the 150-run mark in 4 of the 6 matches they have played. Harry Brook, who is among the most expensive overseas player this season, has played just 1 good inning so far. His lack of scoring options against the spinners is something that is going to hurt him.

Similarly, the likes of Aiden Markram, Mayank Agarwal, and Abhishek Sharma have failed to get going. Aiden Markram has improved as a player of spin in the middle and is going to be crucial to SRH's fortunes but surely Mayank Aggarwal has run out of chances! Heinrich Klaassen has impressed for SRH and could be another crucial player for them in this contest.

The team management will have to come up with some major changes if they want to change their fortune. The Sunrisers have one of the strongest pace attacks in the league, at least on paper, with bowlers like Umran Malik, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen, and T Natarajan.

However, they too haven’t been able to perform regularly as despite such big names, it is Mayank Markande who is the leading wicket-taker for the team.

The Capitals had a great chance to improve their NRR as they were chasing a modest target of 128 but the chase trickled on till the final over of the match, thanks to a rather slow approach by the middle order.

David Warner was once again the best batsman on the team, scoring his 4th half-century of the season. He will now need some of the other batsmen including Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, and Manish Pandey to step up and take some burden off his shoulders. We love the addition of Phil Salt to the lineup and perhaps it is time for Rovman Powell to get another chance in place of Mitchell Marsh.

Ishant Sharma, who was playing his first match of the season, bowled a brilliant spell against KKR and was instrumental in restricting them to a small total. He will have the support of Anrich Nortje and Mukesh Kumar, while Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav will take up the spin duties.

Weather Report

The temperatures will remain below the 30-degree mark in the evening, there is a forecast of rain which might cause delays or interruptions.

Pitch Report

The pitch at Hyderabad is good to bat on as it offers a consistent bounce. The team batting first will be looking to get as close as possible to the 200-run mark. While there is very little grass, disciplined seamers will get some help here but there is will not be much turn for the spinners.

Notable stats

Mayank Markande's Consistent Bowling

Mayank Markande has bowled pretty well for SRH this season. He has picked up 8 wickets in 4 matches and has a miserly economy rate of just 6.25 runs per over.

Dream11 Prediction

We are backing the Sunrisers Hyderabad to win here. While both teams have struggled this season, we feel that the Sunrisers have a slight edge in terms of batting form. Playing at home conditions will also give them an advantage.

Top Picks

David Warner: Warner has towered over the otherwise underperforming Delhi batting line-up. He has scored 4 half-centuries in his 6 outings this season and has an average of 47.50.

Axar Patel: We are recommending Axar Patel due to his all-round capabilities. He has scored his maiden IPL half-century this season and has also picked up 4 wickets.

Harry Brook: Harry Brook had shown some brilliant form in T20s before joining the IPL. He has an impressive strike rate of 147.63 in the shortest format and the mediocre bowling line-up of the Capitals will give him a good opportunity to showcase his talent.
