The opening pair of Faf Du Plessis and Virat Kohli is in scintillating form as both have scored 2 half-centuries each and will be looking to give the team another good start here. Glen Maxwell too got some runs under his belt in the last match and will be feeling pretty confident when he takes on the field. However, the middle order remains a bit untested for the Royal Challengers.
Dinesh Kartik has got limited time in the middle, while the likes of Akash Deep, Michael Bracewell, and Shahbaz Ahmed have batted just once so far. Axar scored his first-ever half-century in the IPL during the team’s latest encounter against the Mumbai Indians and will be hoping to play another good inning here. He hasn’t however clicked with the ball as he has managed just 1 wicket in 4 matches, while Kuldeep Yadav has got just 2.
The Delhi Capitals will rely on their seam attack consisting of Mustafizur Rahman, Anrich Nortje, and Mukesh Kumar to give them a good start with the new ball.
