The batting has been a big letdown for the DC and has been the primary reason for the team’s listless performance. While skipper David Warner has scored 2 half-centuries in 3 innings, he has received little support from the batsmen around him. His strike-rate has been a massive concern, though.
Prithvi Shaw, who was in good form in the domestic circuit before the start of this tournament, hasn’t been able to get going and the same can be said about Sarfaraz Khan. The team management has splurged quite a bit on Jofra Archer, but he is yet to prove his worth. The Mumbai Indians have managed to get a total of just 5 wickets in the two games, which speaks volumes about the bowlers’ poor form.
