BH vs SYT Match Preview

Brisbane Heat has not been able to build any sort of momentum this season. Either it's batting misfires or the bowling does not live up to expectations. Only Peirson and Billings have scored over 100 runs, a total of one half-century has been scored by Brisbane Heat batters, and there is no one with a strike rate of over 140.

The bowling attack of Brisbane Heat has done a lot better. Mark Steketee, Michael Neser, and Matthew Kuhnemann have all bowled quite well.

Sydney Thunder can be very proud of its achievements in the previous match against Brisbane Heat. Chris Green, Usman Qadir, and Daniel Sams all bowled very well. They kept Brisbane Heat to just 121 after which Gilkes and Hales aced the chase without any trouble.

With Rille Rossouw, Oliver Davies, and Alex Ross also in the lineup, we think Sydney Thunder is a stronger batting lineup.

Weather Report

There is no rain predicted for match day but there are some clouds around. We should be able to enjoy an uninterrupted match.

Pitch Report

As far as the pitch goes, the Carrara Oval is scheduled to host just one match this season. It is not a venue that is very often used for men's cricket but it does get a lot of women's matches.

The pitch will be flat, a bit on the slower side, and made aid the spinners. The outfield is not the biggest and is quite fast.

We think a score of around 160 should be quite competitive.

Notable stats

Struggling Max Bryant

Max Bryant has made 52 runs in BBL 12 out of which 46 came in just one inning. He has yet to hit a single six this season and his strike rate is just 113. As an opening batter, he is often an attractive Dream 11 pick but we are going to stay away from him for the time being.

Team News

There may be some changes in the Brisbane Heat lineup as they try and change their fortunes in the tournament. Sydney Thunder is expected to play the same lineup.

Dream11 Prediction

Sydney Thunder is coming across Brisbane Heat at just the right time in BBL 12. Heat is in poor form and struggling for any kind of rhythm while Thunder just seems to be getting its act together. We think another win for Sydney Thunder is on the cards.

Top Picks

Michael Neser - One of our favorite bowlers in Australian cricket, Neser is always threatening with the new ball and can contribute with the bat as well.

Alex Hales - There are periods in Hales' career when he goes into overdrive. He is a player that makes the most of good form and with runs in his previous match, we would love to back him.

Rilee Rossouw - A best of 53 in BBL 12 shows the Rossouw is not in bad touch but he has underperformed. He loves hitting big scores, though, and we think a big one might be around the corner.
