Australia has officially announced its squad for the second Test, and to no surprise, there are no unexpected selections. The inclusion of Lance Morris in the BBL indicates that there is minimal likelihood of any changes in the playing eleven.

However, there is a possibility that Scott Boland may enter the conversation and potentially replace Mitchell Starc in the event of a minor injury concern. Nevertheless, we do not believe that such a scenario will arise.

Australia's bowling lineup is exceptionally formidable and can be considered one of the best quartets in Test history. With the likes of Hazelwood, Starc, Cummins, and Lyon, the Pakistani batsmen can expect a relentless onslaught every time they face these bowlers. This is an absolute certainty. 

In recent seasons, Melbourne's pitch has displayed a livelier nature, and it is hoped that this trend will continue, providing the bowlers with something to work with.

Lyon is expected to play a significant role in the second innings and could potentially emerge as the leading wicket-taker in the match. However, the only concern lies in the Pakistani batting lineup succumbing to the Australian fast bowlers without putting up a fight.

The Australian batsmen, including David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Usman Khawaja, Travis Head, and Mitchell Marsh, form a top-6 that will prove challenging to dismiss.

Pakistan's bowling attack displayed a lackluster performance in the initial match, despite the commendable efforts of Aamer Jamal and Kurram Shahzad. Consistent pressure is crucial for securing wickets in Australia, but unfortunately, that was absent in their gameplay.

However, concerns arise regarding their temperament in significant matches, particularly against Australia. The exclusion of Mohammad Rizwan, despite Sarfaraz Ahmed's proficiency in subcontinental conditions, raises eyebrows.

Pakistan is also relying on all-rounders like Faheem Ashraf and Agha Salman, indicating their insecurity regarding both batting and bowling options. To overcome these challenges, they must make bold choices and adopt an aggressive playing style.
