Worcestershire

The Worcestershire team played superb cricket while winning the last game by a slender margin of 3 runs. Their batting line-up was led by Adam Hose who scored 44 runs from 26 balls. He was helped in this endeavor by batters such as Ben Cox, Kashif Ali, and Jack Haynes. They provided excellent support to the in-form batters while playing from the other end. Apart from these players, Adam Finch played a blinder of an inning in the last over while scoring 30 runs from 10 balls. 

The Worcestershire bowling attack succeeded in restricting the opposition to a score of 175 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. They did make heavy weather of this target and eventually got through with just 2 wickets to spare. Some of their bowlers such as Patrick Brow held the figures of 3 for 28, Dillon Pennington picked up two wickets for 11 runs and the other bowlers' Brett Oliveria picked up 2 wickets for 39 runs. These bowlers were successful in picking wickets but apart from them Usama Mir and Michael Bracewell were also effective bowling economically in middle overs and it was useful for decreasing the scoring rate.

Some of the key players in the Worcestershire outfit are Adam Hose, Michael Bracewell, and Adam Finch. Batting first in the last game Yorkshire scored 175 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Worcestershire had to struggle quite a bit before they succeeded in crossing the line in 19.5 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. The middle-order batters of the Worcestershire team held firm and took the opposition across the line. There were several mini-collapses during the Worcestershire innings that their batters brushed aside to register their second win of the competition.

Leicestershire

The Leicestershire outfit was off to the worst possible start to their Vitality Blast campaign for the 2023 season. They ended up on the losing side in their first couple of matches. Leicestershire team batted first and succeeded in scoring 166 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their stipulated quota of 20 overs. Birmingham Bears succeeded in chasing down this total easily with 5 wickets to spare and with 15 balls remaining. It was a below-par target set by Leicestershire on an excellent batting wicket.

Although many of the Leicestershire batters got off to a good start, they could not convert it into a big score. The captain Colin Ackerman scored 27 runs, Nick Welsh hit 30 runs and Rishi Patel also made a contribution of 28 runs. All of these innings were cameos and no one pushed on to a big score. But their lower-order batters made some contributions with useful knocks. The Leicestershire batsmen will have to bring in their best performance to the match and get their side to a sizable total. 

The lone warrior for Leicestershire was Callum Parkinson in their bowling department with figures of 4 for 33. But other bowlers such as Rehan Ahmed, Naseem Shah, and Will Davies could not pick up wickets regularly. The team will be keen to try and improve their bowling performance in this match. They have some good batters though such as Wiaan Mulder and Colin Ackerman who can add depth to their batting order.
