PAK vs NZ Team Previews

Pakistan

Babar Azam smashed his 3rd hundred for Pakistan in the T20 international format that allowed Pakistan to register another solid win in the series against New Zealand. They now have a 2-0 lead in the 5-game series against New Zealand. Babar Azam batted right through the Pakistan innings to help them set a good target of 192 runs on the board. The Pakistan bowlers were once again on the mark and this second-string New Zealand team could not challenge this total. Pakistan started the innings in a watchful manner. Their openers just added 29 runs in the first 4 powerplay overs.

Mohammad Rizwan was on 12 runs from 13 balls at the end of 4 overs. He decided to launch into New Zealand bowling at this stage and hit Henry Shipley for 2 boundaries and 1 six. Due to this batting charge, Pakistan ended up scoring 59 runs in the powerplay overs. The Pakistani opening batters kept on their batting form and they found the boundary pretty regularly. The first wicket for Pakistan fell in the 11th over when Rizwan miscued a lofted stroke. Fakhar Zaman fell early while Saim Ayub left the crease for a duck. From 99 for no loss, Pakistan was suddenly reduced to 105 for 4.

It was left to Babar Azam and Iftikar Ahmed to develop a partnership to take Pakistan to an imposing total. During their efforts in the New Zealand inning, the Pakistani bowlers were right on target. It was too tough to get Shaheen Afridi away and other Pakistani bowlers such as Zaman Khan and Imad Wasim were bowling well also. After Imad Wasim got rid of the dangerous Chad Bowes, it was all Pakistan in the middle overs. Haris Rauf picked up regular wickets and used his variety to good effect. Chapman hit some big shots toward the end of the inning but it was just useful in keeping the margin of defeat on the lower side.

But the Pakistan batting quickly recovered and the presence of Babar Azam till the end ensured that Pakistan was to set up a sizable total on the board. Iftikar Ahmed settled down to hit some big blows toward the end of the inning to take the Pakistan total to a good height. PAK vs NZ Toss Prediction

The Gaddafi Stadium wicket in Lahore is a good one for batting. There will be some even bounce available on the track throughout the game. So, the team winning the toss might want to bat first and set a huge total on the board.

Pitch and Conditions

The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore was host to the final game of the Pakistan Super League for the 2023 season. This game was played between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars last month. The pitch has held firm during this game and the first two games of Pakistan vs New Zealand series. So, the wicket will be a batting-friendly one for the most part. Batsmen can play their shots through the line. However, the quick bowlers will get some assistance from the track with some swing early on. But that apart, the spinners will have to keep on mixing their deliveries to ensure variations in their bowling to try and not get hammered.

We are likely to get a sunny day tomorrow in Lahore. Although the game will be played in the evening under lights, you can expect warm and dry conditions during the match. The temperatures for this game will be close to 39 degrees. The relative humidity for the game will be close to 12% and there is some chance of getting cloud cover in the game. No chance of getting any rain interruption for this game.

PAK vs NZ Betting Tips

After this top performance in the first couple of games, it will be tough to bet against Pakistan in this match. New Zealanders are fighters and will try and make a comeback in this game to reduce the lead taken by Pakistan. However, Pakistan is playing a full side and the Kiwis are a much-depleted side in the series. We will bet with Pakistan to win this encounter and take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series.
