Netherlands

After losing their opening fixture against hosts Zimbabwe, the Netherlands made a comeback in their latest fixture, defeating the USA to claim their first points of the tournament. However, as they face the mighty West Indies in their last group-stage fixture, this will be an important match for them that will decide their fate.

Scott Edwards has led his team from the front, scoring half-centuries in both of his outings so far, and has lent stability to the middle order. The opening pair of Vikramjit Singh and Max O’Dowd, and middle-order batsman Teja Nidamanuru have done a good job too, and the team will be banking on them to play well here.

However, Bas De Leede and Wesley Barresi haven’t been in the best of forms so far. Coming to the bowling, there is a lot of scope for improvement here. Full-time bowlers Logan van Beek, Aryan Dutt, and Clayton Floyd have struggled to find the right line and length, and have failed to trouble the opposition batsmen.

Ryan Klein, who was playing his first match of the tournament in the previous match, looked impressive and we will get to see more of him here. The Netherlands will need to improve their bowling if they want to win here.

Nepal

Nepal scripted one of the most incredible comebacks in One Day cricket history to book a spot in the 2023 ODI World Cup Qualifiers. And now, its fate hangs on the outcome of this match. The team has got 2 points from the 3 matches it has played so far. As they play their last group-stage match here, a loss will mean they will be eliminated, while a victory will keep their chances alive.

Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Shiekh will once again look to give the team a strong start here. Bhurtel has been particularly impressive and is the leading run-scorer for Nepal in this tournament. The middle order will need to step up in a big way here if the team wants to win.

A lot of hope was pinned on the performances of Bhim Sharki and Rohit Paudel, but they haven’t been able to get going yet. Aarif Sheikh scored a half-century in the last match and will be hoping to continue with his good form here.

The team does have a lot of depth in its batting, thanks to all-rounders Kushal Malla, Dipendra Singh Airee, and Gulsan Jha. Seamers Karan KC and Gulsan Jha have done a decent job with the ball, picking up 5 wickets each, while Dipendra Singh has 3.

In the spin department, Sandeep Lamichhane has been a big disappointment, while Lalit Rajbanshi has bowled well.

NL vs NEP Toss Prediction

The team winning the toss will likely opt to bowl first here.

Pitch and Conditions

The pitch at the Takashinga Sports Club in Harare is well-balanced, providing equal opportunities to the bowlers and the batsmen. The seamers will be able to generate some movement early on in the game and cause trouble for the batsmen. However, once the batsman spends some time in the middle, he will be able to play the shots. A score of around 260 is a par score here.

The weather is expected to remain dry with pleasant temperatures.

NL vs NEP Betting Tips

Both teams have their strengths and weaknesses and haven’t been among the most consistent ones around. However, looking at their performances so far, we think that the Netherlands have a slight edge here, thanks to their stronger batting line-up.
