The Renegades didn’t have the best of starts this season as they were defeated by the Sydney Sixers in their opening fixture. However, these are early days in the tournament and the team will look to bounce back.
The Renegades have a pretty strong batting line-up and will depend on that to deliver the goods. Nic Maddinson and Joe Clarke are likely to open the batting for them. Jake Fraser-McGurk's excellent form from the domestic circuit has spilled over to the T20s as he scored 48 runs.
All-rounder Will Sutherland put up an excellent show with the bat, scoring 51 runs, albeit for a losing cause. He also bowled a good spell, picking up 2 wickets for 21 runs.
He will join Tom Rogers and Kane Richardson in the seam attack, while Mujeeb ur Rahman and Adam Zampa constitute the spin department.
