Maharashtra

Maharashtra has been rather inconsistent in its performance this season and has alternated between victories and losses in the 5 matches it has played so far. It is placed 3rd on the points table in Group D, trailing Bengal by 4 points. A win here will help them overtake Bengal, who have no more games left, thanks to a better NRR.

Ruturaj Gaikwad is in excellent form with the bat and is the top-scorer for Maharashtra. He scored a brilliant century in the last match to lead his team to a win against Vidharbha. Gaikwad will be joined by Kedar Jadhav at the top of the order but his form has been a bit patchy.

Similarly, Azim Kazi, Siddharth Mhatre, and Nikhil Naik haven’t been in the best of forms. Ankit Bawane and Arshin Kulkarni on the other hand have done well lower down the order. Satyajeet Bacchav is the pick of the bowlers with 7 wickets and has received good support from his fellow spinner Prashant Solanki.

The seamers however have struggled with Pradeep Dhade and Rajvardhan Hangargekar picking up just 2 wickets each. 

Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan was unlucky to have its first match washed out and had to share points with Puducherry. It lost the next two matches and that extinguished any hopes of finishing in the top two. However, the team has managed to turn things around a bit in the last week and comes into this contest on the back of consecutive wins against Jharkhand and Uttarakhand.

Abhijit Tomar is in decent form at the top of the order and will look to give the team a strong start along with Mukul Choudhary. The key batsman for Rajasthan will be skipper Deepak Hooda, who has scored 2 half-centuries in his last 3 innings. Along with him, the team will count on Mahipal Lomror and Kunal Singh Rathore to get them to a big total.

In the seam department, Deepak Chahar has been excellent with the new ball and has picked up 8 wickets in 4 matches. He has received good support from Khaleel Ahmed and Aniket Choudhary. Rahul Chahar has done a decent job with his leg breaks but he is the only quality spinner on the team.
