Hyderabad

Hyderabad didn’t have the best of times in the last season as it managed to win just 4 of the 7 matches during the group stage. However, the team has started on a strong note this time around and has won each of the 3 matches it has played so far. However, finding itself in the tough company of Baroda and Mumbai, Hyderabad will take maximum points from this match.

The opening pair of Tanmay Agarwal and Rohit Rayudu is in good form and will look to give the team a strong start. Tilak Varma, who made his international debut earlier this year, is the most important batsman in the Hyderabad team. He has scored 110 runs so far including a half-century.

With Rahul Singh, Chandan Sahani, and Bhavesh Seth following in the middle order, the team has plenty of depth in batting. Ravi Teja bowled a brilliant spell in the match against Chattisgarh, picking up 6 wickets for just 13 runs. He, along with Chama Milind makes up for an excellent new-ball pair.  

Tanay Thyagarajan and Aniketh Reddy will man the spin department. The duo has picked up 4 wickets between them and has been quite economical as well. 

Mizoram

Mizoram started its campaign with back-to-back losses against Chattisgarh and Baroda. It did manage to get back to winning ways in its latest match as it defeated Meghalaya by 20 runs.

Opener Agni Chopra played a scintillating knock of 94 runs on Thursday to guide his team to a match-winning total of 163 runs. His opening partner, Lalhruaizela hasn’t been in the best of forms and will need to play better going ahead.

Jehu Anderson and Joseph Lalthankhuma are two quality players in the middle order. However, they haven’t been able to convert their starts into big innings. KC Cariappa and Mohit Jangra are the two all-rounders in the team who can provide a late flourish with the bat.

Cariappa is the pick of the bowlers with 7 wickets and is quite economical too. Mohit Jangra will start the attack with the new ball. Vanlal Remruata picked up 3 wickets in the last match and will need to come up with a similar performance if Mizoram wants to make a dent in the Hyderabad batting.
