The Galle Titans have made an excellent start to this season and have won both of their matches so far. As a result, they have pulled away from the other teams and are sitting right at the top of the points table.

Shevon Daniel is in good form at the top of the order and will look to give the team a brisk start with Lasith Croospulle. However, the team’s biggest strength lies in its middle order. Tim Seifert scored a blistering half-century in the last match and is in good form. In addition to him, the Titans have some quality all-rounders including Dasun Shanaka and Shakib Al-Hasan, both of whom are capable of taking the attack to the opposition.

Kasun Rajitha and Richard Ngrava have bowled well with the new ball and picked up 2 wickets each during the last match. The spin attack, made up of Tabraiz Shamsi and Shakib is very potent too. Overall, the Galle Titans have a well-balanced team that is capable of taking up any challenge thrown at them. 

Jaffna Kings

The Jaffna Kings are the defending champions for this season and began their latest campaign with a win over the Colombo Strikers. However, they were overcome by Dambulla Aura on Tuesday and faced an 8-wicket defeat, which left a big dent in its NRR.

These are early days in the tournament and we expect Jaffna to bounce back soon.

The Jaffna Kings will depend on its star-studded batting line-up to put up a big score. In the previous match, Charith Asalanka scored a half-century but received little support at the other end. The team will now depend on Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Towhid Hridoy, and David Miller to bounce back and play a big inning.

Skipper Thisara Perera will play the role of a finisher and look to play some big shots toward the end of their inning. In the bowling department. Vijaykanth Viyaskanth has once again emerged as the team’s prime spinner, picking up 3 wickets.

One area of concern for Jaffna is the form of Maheesh Theekshana, who has remained wicketless in both matches played so far. The two seamers, Dilshan Madushanka and Hardus Viljoen have picked up 5 wickets between them.
