The Colombo Strikers' innings in this game did not get off to a great start. They lost the crucial wicket of their skipper and wicket-keeper batsman Niroshan Dickwella early on. But the Pakistani star Babar Azam scored a 52 ball 59 to steady the ship and avoid further mishaps. There were some useful contributions from the middle order and lower middle order in the form of Nuwanidu Fernando who scored 28 runs while some other batters also contributed a bit. In the end, Colombo managed to raise a mediocre total of 157 runs.

There were just a couple of wicket-taking bowlers for B-Love Kandy in this game. Isuru Udana picked up 3 victims for 39 runs from his 4 overs while Mohammad Hasnain picked up 2 from his 4 overs. None of the Kandy batsmen could contribute heavily to the total. Angelo Matthews was the top run-getter with 25 runs from 22 balls. the pick of the bowlers for Colombo was Matheesha Pathirana who picked up 3 wickets for 24 runs while Jeffrey Vandersay picked up 2 victims for 32 runs from his 4 overs.

Dambulla Giants

The Dambulla Aura team completed their last match just a while ago against B-Love Kandy. This was the 6th game of the competition and was played at Pallekele in Sri Lanka. Batting first, Dambulla Aura managed to score 156 runs for the loss of 6 wickets from their stipulated 20 overs. The B-Love Kandy team chased down this score easily in 18.3 overs for the loss of just 3 wickets. So, Kandy recorded a win by a margin of 7 wickets and with 9 balls to spare. The Kandy bowler Mujeeb Ur Rahman was adjudged Player of the Match for his spell of 2 for 17.

During the Dambulla Aura innings, the team lost some early wickets. However, the in-form batter Avishka Fernando scored a useful 32 from 31 balls with 3 fours and 1 six. But, the real impetus to the Dambulla innings was provided by Dhananjaya de Silva. De Silva was on a rampage during the Dambulla innings and scored 61 runs from 39 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes. He was helped on the course by the likes of Alex Ross and Hayden Kerr. It was thanks mainly due to the efforts of De Silva that Dambulla Aura could muster up a score of 156 runs.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Isuru Udana were once again the most successful bowlers for Kandy picking up 2 wickets each. The Kandy batters were right on the money immediately. Fakhar Zaman and Dinesh Chandimal put together a partnership of 69 runs for the first wicket. There were just a couple of bowlers from the Dambulla team that could pick up a wicket. Dhananjaya de Silva picked one while Hayden Kerr picked another. These two were also the most economical bowlers from their side.
