Bangladesh Women

The Bangladeshi Women are going into this game after suffering three defeats in a row in this format. Two of them have come against this very opposition. The Bangladesh bowlers put up a good show in the second T20 international between the two teams. Fariha Trisna was superb with the ball for Bangladesh Women. The opening bowler returned with the figures of 4-1-19-4 in the last game. She not only picked up wickets but also bowled economically. She was supported by Nahid Akter and Fahima Khatun, who picked up two wickets each.

The Bangladesh batters once again could not get going against a confident bowling attack and managed to score just 103 runs from their twenty overs for the loss of nine wickets. Shorna Akter hit some big blows toward the end of the innings, but the Bangla Women were never in contention to reach the target. Bangladesh Women made a decent start to their innings, with Akter and Murshida Khatun scoring 34 in 4.1 overs. However, this was nowhere close to being enough.

Australia Women

Unlike their Bangladeshi counterparts, Australian Women are rampaging through the series with several victories. They have won all the games played so far during their visit to Bangladesh. However, they were made to work hard for their runs in this contest. They also lost eight wickets while putting up 161 runs from their quota of twenty overs. Their opener, Grace Harris, scored 47 from 34 balls with six fours and one six. The leading run-getter for Australia Women was Georgia Wareham, who hit 57 runs from 30 balls with ten fours.

The Australian bowling was on the mark right from the word go during the Bangladesh inning. The seamer Megan Schutt picked up two wickets upfront to set up the bowlers in the middle. Sophie Molineux returned with the figures of 4-0-10-3. She was aided by Ashleigh Gardner, who also returned with excellent figures of 4-0-17-3. Georgia Wareham picked up the remaining wicket to fall. These bowlers will again try to restrict the Bangladesh opposition in this contest. All bowlers used by Australia bowled economically except Ellyse Perry.
