WI vs ZIM Match Preview

West Indies bowled poorly at the start, made a decent comeback, and then gave away runs at the death once more. Jason Holder was the only bowler that found the right length from the start and Alzarri Joseph also managed to get in some searing yorkers during the end.

The West Indian batters were terrible in the previous match. Jason Holder was the best of the lot. We have some hope from Brandon King, Shamarh Brooks, and Rovman Powell.

Sikandar Raza has been in terrific form over the last six months, scoring centuries in ODI cricket and playing crucial innings in T20s. The likes of Sean WIlliams, Craig Ervine, Wesley Madhevere, and Ryan Burl need to step up for Zimbabwe.

Among the bowlers, Richard Ngarava picked up two early wickets, Blessing Muzarabani was breathing fire, and the others were disciplined also.

Weather Report

The conditions in Hobart are pretty good and there is no rain forecast for match day. As far as the pitch goes, this is traditionally a high-scoring venue where a lot of runs are scored.

Pitch Report

Zimbabwe showed that 170 is quite easily achievable and we think that should be seen as just about par. The short square boundaries can be attacked by batters from both teams. It looks like 160-170 is the range that most matches in this T20 World Cup will end at.

Notable stats

Sikander Raza in the form of his life

Sikander Raza has scored 716 runs since the start of 2020, the most for any Zimbabwe player, and has 18 wickets to his name as well.

Team News

Zimbabwe is likely to play the same team while we could a slight reshuffle in the West Indian lineup to just better take advantage of the conditions.

Dream11 Prediction

We think Zimbabwe has a great chance of pulling off another upset. It is not going to be easy but if there is one team that is ripe for the picking then it is this West Indian team in disarray.

Top Picks

Sikandar Raza - he is our captain for this match. Raza bats at an important juncture for the team and does responsibly. The top order is also not too great so he gets a hit in most games. He is also a very useful bowler.

Shamarh Brooks - A last-minute inclusion into the team, Brooks has the technique to succeed in Australia. He can play shots along the ground and keep milking the bowlers. He just needs to get his shot selection right.

Blessing Muzarabani - A dangerous fast bowler with genuine pace, Muzarabani has struggled with his fitness recently. In the previous match, though, he was hitting the right lengths and getting the ball to talk.
