PAKW vs IREW Match Preview

Playing without the in-form batter Sidra Ameen, the Pakistani top order fell cheaply. Muneeba Ali was out for a duck and was soon joined in the pavilion by Bismah Mahroof and Javeria Khan. Veteran all-rounder Nida Dar played a valiant inning of 61 runs from 43 deliveries and received some support from lower-order players like Aliya Riaz and Ayesha Naseem.

Not many were giving Ireland a chance to cause an upset against an in-form Pakistan lineup.

Orla Prendergast was excellent with the bat as well as the ball, scoring 39 crucial runs and picking up 3 wickets, including those of dangerous Muneeba Ali and Bismah Mahroof. She, along with Gaby Lewis, put up an excellent partnership of 55 runs for the second wicket to guide Ireland to a comfortable victory.

Gaby Lewis was in great touch, as she scored a well-deserved half-century, and remained unbeaten till the end.

Weather Report

There is a chance of some rain early in the morning on Monday, which may lead to some delays during the start of the match.

Pitch Report

The pitch here is flat and an excellent surface to bat on. The average first innings score here in women’s T20s is between 135-140. However, the team batting first would like to go north of 150 just to give their bowlers a better chance to defend

Notable stats

Nida Dar's Great Average

Dream11 Prediction

Pakistan should easily win this game. It has lost just 3 of the 16 T20s that it has played against Ireland. The team has plenty of good players and should have no problems chasing or defending any total.

Top Picks

Nida Dar: As mentioned earlier, Nida Dar is in excellent all-round form this year. Her contribution has been instrumental in Pakistan’s recent successes. She was one of the leading scorers and wicket-takers in the Women’s Asia Cup held earlier this year.

Orla Prendergast: Another all-rounder, but this time from Ireland, Orla has been excellent with the bat of late. Her medium pacers are likely to be quite effective on the slow pitch in Lahore.

Laura Delany: The Ireland captain was the top-scorer for the team in the recently concluded ODIs. She has an excellent record in the T20s too and is more than a decent bowler.
