NZ vs PAK Match Preview

We know how New Zealand will approach this match. Finn Allen will play ultra aggressively, Kane Williamson will look to bat through, and the rest of the batters will target favorable matchups. Devon Conway and Glenn Phillips are in good form but the rest of the batting is vulnerable.

Much like Pakistan, New Zealand would like to maximize its bowling resources to break this match open. Trent Boult, time Southee, and Lockie Ferguson have been around for long enough and have done it in the past. Three-four good overs early on could help New Zealand get ahead.

We think Pakistan should be able to play with a lot more freedom than it so far has.

The addition of Mohammad Haris to the batting lineup has added another free-flowing batter that is ready to bat with intent. With Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam struggling for runs at the top of the order, Mohammad Haris is a valuable counter to have.

Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, and Mohammad Nawaz have all done quite well with the bat also.

Haris Rauf and Mohammad Wasim Jr. have been brilliant while Naseem Shah and Mohammad Nawaz have bowled decently as well. Shadab Khan has a big role to play as the best spinner in the entire tournament so far.

Weather Report

The weather forecast in Sydney is excellent for cricket. There is no rain expected and we should not have any interruptions.

Pitch Report

The surface in Sydney can be a bit slow and so the spinners are always in play. Teams will look to take pace off and use their cutters.

A score of around 160-170 could be very good in this match.

Notable stats

Babar Azam vs Trent Boult

Babar Azam has dominated Trent Boult in T20 internationals. He has faced 23 deliveries, hit seven boundaries off them, and never gotten out to Boult. Could this be the crucial encounter when Babar Azam finds his touch?

Team News

Both teams are expected to be unchanged for this match.

Dream11 Prediction

We are going to back Pakistan to win this match. It has a very good bowling attack and a batting lineup that is better than what most people give it credit for. The flexibility with which Pakistan has played its cricket is refreshing to see and its excellent recent record against New Zealand should be taken into account as well.

Top Picks

Iftikhar Ahmed - The most consistent batter for Pakistan in the tournament so far. Iftikhar Ahmed is capable of smashing runs against both pace and spin. He is a good player to have in your Dream11 lineup for sure.

Tim Southee - One of the most intelligent T20 bowlers going around, Southee would be hoping for a bit of swing to make a big impact in this match. He could be the one player that the Pakistani batters pay a bit of respect to.

Shadab Khan - A match winner with both the bat and the ball. Shadab Khan will enjoy the conditions in Sydney.
