India's fast bowling has been very good in this series making it an even more dangerous side than usual. Mohammad Siraj has the most wickets during the powerplay in ODI cricket since 2022 and that has made a huge difference. Mohammad Shami and Shardul Thakur bowled beautifully in the previous match as well. With Umran Malik waiting in the wings, India may give one of Shami or Siraj a break in this match.
Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill have been extremely prolific and consistent as a pair. Not only have both of them scored runs in most matches but they have also managed to mitigate the new ball without any trouble.
The New Zealand top order has struggled and the runs have come from the lower middle order. Glenn Phillips, Michael Bracewell, and Mitchell Santner have been the three best batters for New Zealand.
Lockie Ferguson, Henry Shipley, and Blair Tickner have not been anywhere as good or dangerous as their Indian fast-bowling counterparts.
