ENG vs NZ Match Preview

England will be praying the rain does not intervene and play spoilsport in this crucial encounter. Thankfully, it appears as if the rain will clear well before this match is scheduled to start. We have seen a strangely subdued England with the bat in this tournament.

Liam Livingstone and Moeen Ali, perhaps the two best T20 players in the England lineup after Buttler, have not got enough time in the middle. We could see some changes in the batting order but this is a vulnerable batting lineup, no matter how you look at it.

Apart from Wood, we think the rest of the bowlers could struggle as they lack the pace and do not get the movement to trouble the batters.

For New Zealand, Devon Conway is in great form and Glenn Phillips is having a great tournament as well. Finn Allen, of course, set the World Cup alight with his aggression against Australia. Jimmy Neesham, Mitch Santner, and Daryl Mitchell are in the lineup and they add a lot of depth to the batting.

New Zealand's bowling attack has been the most effective at picking up wickets early. Trent Boult and Tim Southee have been at their best with fantastic support from Lockie Ferguson as the third seamer.

Weather Report

The conditions in Brisbane are quite overcast and a lot of rain is predicted for the first half of the match. The second half should be better, though, and it could all clear up well before the match is supposed to start.

Pitch Report

The rain is likely to make the pitch a bit spicy and the outfield a bit slow.

A score of around 150-160 should be quite competitive.

Dream11 Prediction

We think New Zealand has a great chance of winning this contest. It's batting is in better form and the bowling has been doing really well also.

Top Picks

Devon Conway - one of the best batters in T20 cricket, Conway loves the Australian conditions and is in great form. We think he also matches up well against the English bowling lineup.

Liam Livingstone - Regularly bowling 2-3 overs per match, Livingstone is also one of the most dangerous hitters in the world. The big risk with him is getting enough deliveries to face but England may not make the same mistakes as last time.

Glenn Phillips - Brilliant batting, effective bowling, and spectacular catching. Is there anything Phillips cannot do? He has been so good that not having him in your lineup would be criminal.
