Yorkshire made a terrible start to its campaign, losing each of its first 3 matches. However, they have managed to turn things around and are now on a 4-match winning streak as they head into this contest. With half the season behind them, Yorkshire will need to continue with this winning momentum if they want to climb up to the top 2 slots.
Batting hasn’t been the strength of Yorkshire this season. While Dawid Malan has been the most consistent of the lot, he has received little support from his partners. Adam Lyth, Shan Masood, and Jonathan Tattersall have all struggled to score runs.
Similarly, all-rounders Matthew Revis and Jordan Thompson have failed to provide support to the top order. The bowling on the other hand has been excellent and has immensely contributed to Yorkshire’s success in the last 4 matches.
Jordan Thompson is the leading wicket-taker with 11 wickets, including a brilliant fifer in the last match. He has been well supported by David Weise and Ben Mike in the seam department. Dominic Bess and Jafer Chohan have done a decent job in the spin department while Matthew Revis has chipped in during the middle overs.

Michael Bracewell and Brett DOliveira will be looking to give the team a good start here. The duo, particularly Bracewell, has struggled to score fluently putting added pressure on the batsmen lower down the order. Jack Haynes and Adam Hose on the other hand have been a bit more consistent, with the latter scoring 2 half-centuries in 6 innings Worcestershire has plenty of depth in its batting, thanks to all-rounders like Mitchell Santner.
Patrick Brown has done a good job with the new ball as well as at the death and is the leading wicket-taker for the team with 14 wickets. But the other seamers, Adam Finch and Dillon Pennington will need to bowl better going ahead. In the spin department, Brett DOliveira has been unplayable at times and will be supported by Santner and Bracewell.
