The Pakistan women’s team has been rather inconsistent in its performances during the recent outings. The last time they played T20 cricket was during the T20 World Cup earlier this year, where they were knocked out during the group stages. They will now look to bounce back and get back to winning ways.

Pakistan has made quite a few changes to the squad that faced the excruciating loss. Players like Tuba Hassan, Sidra Nawaz, Ayesha Naseem, Javeria Khan, and Aiman Anwar have been dropped from the team. Sadaf Shamas and Muneeba Ali are likely to open the batting, while captain Nida Dar and Sidra Ameen will add stability to the middle order.

Shawaal Zulfiqar and Najiha Alvi are likely to make their international debut in this series. The pace attack has been bolstered with the return of Daina Baig, who will join Fatima Sana in the new-ball attack. Syeda Aroob Shah and Umm-e-Hani have been recalled too and will join Nashra Sandhu and Sadia Iqbal in the spin department. 

South Africa Women

The South Africa Women will be pretty disappointed with the outcome of the T20 World Cup. They managed to reach the Finals but faltered at the very last step and were defeated by the Australians. Nevertheless, there were quite a few positives to take from that tournament and the Proteas will look to gain an early advantage by winning this match.

After the surprise resignation of Sune Luus as the captain, the South African team will be led by Laura Wolvaardt. She is likely to open the batting alongside Tazmin Brits. With the presence of Lara Goodall and Sinalo Jafta in the middle order, the visitors will look to get a brisk start.

However, the team’s biggest strength lies in its all-rounders, including Marizanne Kapp, Nadine de Klerk, Sune Luus, and Anneke Bosch. Ayabonga Khaka and Masabata Klaas will feature in the seam attack, while Nonkululeko Mlaba will lead the spin attack.
