Kerala finished at the top of the points table in Group B and as a result, gained a direct entry to the quarterfinals. The team was unbeaten in its first 6 matches but did lose the last group-stage match to Assam.
Rohan Kunnummal is pretty consistent at the top of the order and has scored an aggregate of 231 runs at a brisk pace. He will be joined by Varun Nayanar at the top of the order as the duo looks to give Kerala a solid start. The team has a strong middle order, with players like Sanju Samson and Vishnu Vinod.
The latter is the top run-getter for the team with 346 runs. Abdul Basith and Salman Nizar have played a couple of good innings so far.
In the bowling department, the spinners have done an excellent job so far. Shreyas Gopal is the leading wicket-taker with 12 wickets and has received good support from Jalaj Saxena at the other end. Basil Thampi and Vinod Kumar have picked up 16 wickets between them and will lead the attack with the new ball.

For Assam, this season has been all about Riyan Parag’s performance with the bat as well as the ball. Parag has scored 490 runs so far and is the leading run-scorer for the tournament. He scored an unbeaten half-century in the previous fixture against Kerala and will once again be the most important batsman for his team.
In addition to him, Assam will depend on Rishav Das, Bishal Roy, and Sumit Ghadigaonkar to get them to a big total. Parag is also the leading wicket-taker for Assam with 11 wickets. He will head the spin department alongside Avinov Choudhury and Sourav Dey.
The seam attack consists of Mrinmoy Dutta, Mukhtar Hussain, and Akash Sengupta, all of whom are among wickets and will look to make early inroads in the Kerala batting line-up.
