Despite trying hard, Ireland hasn’t been able to overcome the challenge from the talented Indian side and lost both matches so far. With the pressure of leveling the series gone, Ireland has only pride to play for and we can expect a fearless brand of cricket from them.
Andrew Balbirnie was the lone batsman who put up a solid resistance against India’s pace battery and scored a brilliant 72 in the second innings of the last match. However, he received no support at the other end and his effort wasn’t nearly enough to see his team scale the 186-run target.
He is likely to open the innings with Paul Stirling. Lorcan Tucker was dismissed for a duck in both matches and will be looking to get back to form. He will feature in the middle order along with Harry Tector, Curtis Campher, and George Dockrell.
Craig Young is Ireland’s top bowler in this series with 3 wickets. He will lead the pace attack alongside Joshua Little, Mark Adair, and Barry McCarthy, while Benjamin White will head the spin attack.

Rinku Singh played a swashbuckling innings of 38 from just 21 deliveries. Coming to the bowling, Prasidh Krishna has been quite impressive in his debut series, picking up 2 wickets in both matches. Jasprit Bumrah remains the spearhead of the pace attack, with Arshdeep Singh playing a supporting role at the other end.
Ravi Bishnoi has done well as the team’s only specialist spinner, picking up a total of 4 wickets.
