Chasing a big score, Smriti Mandhana appeared to be in good touch as she hit 3 boundaries. But India went on to lose 3 quick wickets and appeared to be heading for a collapse. But Harmanpreet Kaur and Devika Vaidya came up with an excellent partnership of 72 runs to bring India back into the hunt.
Harmanpreet Kaur fell at a crucial juncture as the hosts needed 53 of the last 5 overs. Richa Ghosh played a cameo at the end, scoring a valiant 40 of just 19 deliveries but the target of 189 proved beyond reach for them.

Ellyse Perry, who hit a career-best score of 75 in the 3rd T20 followed it up with yet another match-winning performance on Saturday, scoring an unbeaten 72 of just 42 deliveries. After Alyssa Healy retired due to an injury and Australia lost Beth Mooney and Tahlia McGrath cheaply, India appeared firmly in control of the match.
However, Perry, along with Ashleigh Gardner and Grace Harris completed an excellent comeback for the hosts as they posted a mammoth total of 188 for the loss of just 3 wickets. Darcie Brown and Alana King bowled well early on to put India in trouble and just when Harmanpreet Kaur and Devika Vidya were upping the ante, Alana King returned with a superb spell to remove the Indian skipper.
The Aussies held on to their nerves despite a late onslaught by Richa Ghosh and took an unassailable lead of 3-1 to clinch the series.
