The Deccan Gladiators will go into this match on the back of one win and two defeats. They beat the New York Strikers before losing to the Delhi Bulls and Bangla Tigers. This is a busy tournament and Deccan have a relatively short turnaround to seek a second win.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Nicholas Pooran are Deccan's leading run-scorers in the tournament so far. Kohler-Cadmore has hit 118 in three innings and Pooran 60 in three. The Gladiators can look to the England recruit and West Indies star for more big runs in this match. They also have another West Indian big-hitter in Andre Fletcher.

Luke Wood has taken three wickets and Nuwan Thushara and Zahoor Khan two each this tournament. With West Indian all-rounder Andre Russell and New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult in the Gladiators' ranks, too, Deccan have one of the best bowling attacks this season.

Team Abu Dhabi

Team Abu Dhabi are still at the bottom of the points table and will go into this match in the wake of three successive defeats to the Samp Army, Chennai Braves and Northern Warriors. They will be hard pressed to stop their losing stretch against the reigning champions here.

Tom Banton and Leus du Plooy have 51 runs in three innings each this tournament - and are their team's leading scorers. But that has not been enough and, if Abu Dhabi are going to eventually collect some points, more is needed from Colin Ingram, Alex Hales and others.

Tymall Mills and Dwaine Pretorius are Abu Dhabi's top wicket-takers this tournament with three and two, respectively. Mills can bowl a masterful slower ball, which is key in conditions that require pace off the ball to succeed. Spin-wise, Noor Ahmad and Roelof van der Merwe are important to Abu Dhabi.

Bouncing back from three defeats in a row is a big ask, especially against the current title holders, but this is a big opportunity for Team Abu Dhabi to show genuine mettle. They'll require a cohesive bowling effort and big, quick runs from their top three to four batters.
