They will go into this match after a challenging outing with Northamptonshire. That fixture against Northants provided some early indicators for this match with Leicestershire. Derbyshire will be captained by Samit Patel. He has a lot of experience at domestic and international level - and can add value with bat and ball.
Derbyshire's overseas recruits are Blair Tickner and Daryn Dupavillon. Both bring proper pace and energy to the team's seam attack. Tickner and Dupavillon have played international cricket for New Zealand and South Africa, respectively. Expect a big collective performance from the pair.
