After finishing as the runners-up in the 2022 edition, the Colombo Strikers endured a terrible run in the last season as they finished at the bottom of the points table. The team will now hope to turn things around and have made some fresh signings to help them in their endeavor.
Shadab Khan and Glenn Phillips are the two big international signings for the Colombo Strikers. Both of them are capable of playing big shots during the death overs and will play a crucial role in the middle order. Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who was in brilliant form during the T20 World Cup, will likely open the batting.
The Strikers have also brought in fresh local talent in the form of Thisara Perera and Sadeera Samarawickrama. Matheesha Pathirana became the most expensive in the auction as Strikers used their right-to-match. He will be joined by Taskin Ahmed and Binura Fernando in the seam attack.
