Bangladesh Women

Bangladesh W played some excellent cricket in the T20 series. However, they have failed to continue with the same form in the longer format.

It was a miserable batting effort on the part of the hosts during the first ODI. The entire team bundled out for just 81 runs. The team will expect a better performance from Fargana Hoque and Shamima Sultana. Hoque is the leading run-scorer for Bangladesh in the current ICC Championship.

Nigar Sultana and Ritu Moni got a decent start but failed to get going. Nahida Akter carried on with her brilliant form in the T20 series, picking up 3 wickets. However, with a very low total to defend, there was nothing much she could do. She will be supported by Shahima Khatun and Fahima Khatun in the spin department.

The seam department is a bit lacking with Marufa Akter being the only option. 

Pakistan Women

After a disappointing 2-1 loss in the T20 series, the Pakistan W have managed to gain an early lead in the ODI series and will look to seal it with an unassailable lead on Tuesday.

It was a clinical effort by the visitors with the ball as they limited Bangladesh to a below-par total of 81. The spinners made the most of the slow pitch as they outfoxed the opposition batters. Sadia Iqbal was the leading wicket-taker with 4 wickets, while Nida Dar and Umm-e-Hani chipped in with 3 wickets each.

Pakistan W had some nervous moments with the bat as they lost 3 top-order wickets within a span of just 9 runs. However, skipper Nida Dar was once again to the rescue as she scored an unbeaten 35 to ensure a win without any further hiccups.

While Pakistan did end on top, there are plenty of things that the team will improve before the start of the next match.
