Jadeja debuted in the ODIs against Sri Lanka on February 8, 2009, with an unbeaten 60 runs. His journey in T20Is has epitomised his growth into a vital player in India’s cricket team. 

He has proved to be an all-round fielder since his first match against Sri Lanka on February 10, 2009, making a lot of impact in changing game situations that have raised his profile as an all-time cricketer.

Ravindra Jadeja was born to a Gujarati Rajput family on December 6, 1988. His father is Anirudh, and he worked as a watchman for a private security agency in Jamnagar. 

He wanted Jadeja to join the Indian army when he grew up, something J referred to as his childhood ambition since he feared that confrontations with his father might lead him into a boxing ring rather than a cricket pitch.

His sister Naina is a nurse, while he resides in Jamnagar. Jadeja married Rivaba Solanki, a politician, on April 17, 2016, and they had a daughter in June 2017.

In 2008, the Rajasthan Royals chose Ravindra Jadeja for eight IPL matches. Jadeja helped them become champions by making 135 runs from 14 games and scoring the highest score of 36* against Kings XI Punjab. 

He missed IPL 2010 because he was given a ban that year. He was bought by Kochi Tuskers Kerala in 2011. After Kochi disappeared in 2012, the Chennai Super Kings bought him.
