Heinrich Klaasen is a right-handed South African batsman and wicketkeeper. He is well known for his power-hitting skills in all three game formats.
Klaasen strikes the cricket ball with great precision and can hit any spinner out of the park on his best day, thus making him dangerous to face at his peak. He is among the top white-ball batters based on his ranking points.
In February 2017, Klaasen was included in South Africa’s Test squad but did not play. In February 2018, he joined the ODI squad against India, replacing the injured Quinton de Kock, and debuted on February 7.

Heinrich Klaasen was named as a late replacement for Steve Smith by the Rajasthan Royals in the 2018 IPL after Smith was banned for the sandpaper scandal.
