After winning their first-ever CPL title in the 2021 season, St. Kitts and Nevis were unable to defend it in the last season. They managed to win just 3 of the 10 group-stage matches and were 5th on the points table. As a result, St. Kitts and Nevis were unable to make it through to the playoffs.
Bet on the CPLSt. Kitts and Nevis Patriots have made quite a few changes to the squad in a bid to perform better this season. South African batting sensation Tristan Stubbs makes an entry into the team and will add strength to the batting line-up. St. Kitts has retained some of its best-performing batsmen from the last season, including Andre Fletcher, Sherfane Rutherford, and Evin Lewis. Fletcher was the top run-getter for the team last season and will once again be the key player in the middle order, alongside all-rounders Dewald Brevis and George Linde. The team also has a decent pace attack at its disposal, consisting of bowlers like Sheldon Cottrell, Dominic Drakes, and Corbin Bosch. Oshane Thomas, who has been traded in from the Barbados Royals, will be an added option for the new-ball attack.
While St. Kitts and Nevis do have some quality batsmen, they lack depth in their batting. Dewald Brevis and Evin Lewis weren’t in the best of forms last season and it remains to be seen how they perform here. The team has also lost some of its key all-rounders and bowlers, including Dwayne Bravo, Rashid Khan, and Dwaine Pretorius. Bravo is the all-time leading wicket-taker in the CPL, while Khan and Pretorius have plenty of experience playing in the franchise format. In addition to Khan, the team had ls also let go of Kevin Sinclair, leaving a big void in the spin attack. Yanmic Cariah is now the only experienced spinner on the squad and will have to depend on the relatively inexperienced Izharulhaq Naveed and Ashmead Nedd for support.

Bet on the CPLAndre Fletcher was the leading run-scorer for St. Kitts and Nevis in the previous season, scoring 229 runs and an average of 32.71. He has followed that up with some good performances in the Lanka Premier League, the ILT20, and most recently in the Zim Afro T10. Fletcher has scored 6370 runs in the shortest format of the game and seeing his vast experience, we are backing him to be the top batsman for his team this season.
After the departure of Dwayne Bravo, Cottrell is now the most experienced seamer in the St. Kitts squad. While he didn’t have the best of times last season, his T20 record is pretty good as he has picked up 164 wickets in 134 matches. He had an excellent outing in the ILT20 tournament played earlier this year, where he was the second-highest wicket-taker for his team. Seeing his recent form, we think that Cottrell has the potential to be the top bowler for his team.
Stubbs made his T20 debut in the CSAT20 a couple of years ago and immediately caught the eye of the fans with his clean hitting. He has scored 1053 runs in his T20 career and has scored 4 half-centuries in the process. Stubbs has an excellent strike rate of 148.10 and can be a destructive batsman at any stage of the match. He was quite impressive in the SA20 played earlier this year and we think he will be an important player for his team.
Another South African who has a reputation for being a big hitter, Dewald Brevis scored 125 runs last season at a blistering strike rate of 154.32. Brevis has plenty of experience playing franchise cricket around the world and has performed well in the recent seasons of the SA20 and MLC. We are hoping that he will be able to carry on with the same form here.
