The Gladiators have plenty of pace up front. Their new ball bowlers of Khurram Shahzad, Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Zeeshan have the talent to beat the bat for either pace or movement off the surface. Fakhar Zaman of Lahore Qalandars was first to go against Quetta in their previous game after being bowled.

Captain Saud Shakeel delivered a powerful 42 not out off 20 balls in a ten-wicket triumph over Multan Sultans. New Zealander Finn Allen has complemented him well. The hard-hitting opener hit an unbeaten 45 off 21 balls in the same match against the Sultans. Rilee Rossouw, with a PSL career tally exceeding 2000 runs, continues to be a reliable middle-order presence. Kusal Mendis has shown his ability to up the tempo in the shorter white-ball format with a strike rate of almost 170 this PSL.
In the all-round department, Faheem Ashraf has been a standout performer. He has over 850 runs and over 80 wickets in the PSL. Young Hasan Nawaz has shown glimpses of his capabilities with his top two scores in the 2025 PSL of 41 and 35.
Mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed has already achieved his second-most successful PSL season with 11 wickets. He has a total of 33 wickets in his PSL career. Khurram Shahzad has been effective with nine wickets at under six runs an over in the 2025 PSL. His best performance has been his four for 23 against Multan. Mohammad Wasim has taken five wickets in four matches this PSL. Young pacer Mohammad Zeeshan has plenty of pace, but will be a work in progress adding wickets to his arsenal.

Openers Sahibzada Farhan and Kyle Mayers have been in form when sharing a 58-run opening stand against Peshawar Zalmi. Farhan has been explosive with a century and a half-century in his list of milestones this PSL. Colin Munro has backed up the batting unit with an unbeaten half-century and three scores in the 40s. Salman Agha has been stable with a batting average of 37 in the 2025 PSL.
Captain Shadab Khan leads with leg-spin and batting. He grabbed two for 17 and scored 47 runs against Karachi Kings. Wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan has 1200 PSL runs with six half-centuries. Veteran all-rounder Imad Wasim has been tidy with the ball with nine wickets in seven games, with a best of three for 26 against Peshawar Zalmi.
Pace sets the tone at the death. Australian Ben Dwarshuis has punched in with key breakthroughs and brutal late hitting. He has four wickets in four games and hit an unbeaten 33 runs off 17 balls rescued the team against Peshawar.
Emerging pacer Naseem Shah has delivered in crunch games of the past. The young speedster has best figures of five for 20 in his PSL career. Australian rocket bowler Riley Meredith provides raw pace. He has taken a wicket in each of his PSL matches this year without fail.

The captains could choose to bat first. Islamabad was previously successful against Quetta by batting first. For Quetta, the team has not lost a game batting first at Gaddafi Stadium.
In the PSL, the results at this venue have gone the way of the side batting first more than half of the time. Quetta has put up scores of 142 all out and 178 for seven batting first at the ground and defended both totals. Factors such as pitch wear and tear can make batting more difficult, especially against clever spinners.
As is typical of places in the subcontinent, the temperatures are likely to be hot and humid. Rain on the night is not totally out of the question with a ten percent chance of falling.
