Abrar Ahmed is one of Pakistan’s best spinners at the moment. He has an excellent record in Test cricket and picked up a 4-wicket haul in his debut ODI on Tuesday. As the pitch does help the spinners, Abrar is likely to pick up at least 2 wickets.
Abdullah Shafique and Saim Ayub have opened the batting for Pakistan in 5 games and have an average of 95.75 as a pair. They have put up 3 partnerships of 50+ runs in that time, 2 of which were century stands. We are therefore backing them to put up another good partnership.
With the 3-match series evenly poised, Zimbabwe will take on Pakistan in a virtual final on Thursday at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.
The two teams have faced each other in 64 matches to date. Pakistan won 55 while Zimbabwe won 6. Two matches ended without any result while one was a tie.

After winning the first ODI, the hosts were unable to keep the momentum going as they faced a heavy defeat on Tuesday. Nevertheless, they will have to shed the disappointment and will have to be at the top of their game.
The opening pair of Joylord Gumbie and Tadiwanashe Marumani wasn’t able to give the team a good start in the previous match and the team wasn’t able to recover from those early blows. The middle order has 3 of Zimbabwe’s most experienced players in the form of Sean Williams, Craig Ervine, and Sikander Raza.
The trio will hold the key for the hosts and they will need at least one of them to play well. The other batsmen in the team include Dion Myers and Brian Bennett. The bowling wasn’t up to the mark in the previous game as they failed to pick up even a single wicket.
Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, and Trevor Gwandu continue to lead the pace department while Brandon Mavuta is the specialist spinner.
After a shock loss in the first match, Pakistan came back strongly in the next match to score a 10-wicket victory. They will have to continue with the same energy and win here.
The opening pair of Abdullah Shafique and Saim Ayub played brilliantly. Ayub was in particularly good form as he scored his first international century to guide the team to a thumping win. There is plenty of firepower in the middle order as well, thanks to the presence of Mohammad Rizwan, Kamran Ghulam, and Tayyab Tahir while all-rounders Agha Salman and Irfan Khan add depth to the batting.
Aamer Jamal and Haris Rauf continue to the pace attack. Abrar Ahmed bowled a brilliant spell in the previous match and picked up a 4-wicket haul. He will be joined by Faisal Akram in the spin department.
The team winning the toss will likely opt to bowl first.
The pitch at Bulawayo is balanced. The new ball will move around a bit but as it gets softer and older, batting gets easier. The spinners will get some help as well, provided they hit the right areas. A score of around 280 is a par score on this ground.
The weather is expected to remain overcast and there is a high probability of rain causing interruptions.
We may also see DLS come into action.
Pakistan was clinical with the ball and the bat and we are backing them to play well in this match as well.
