Bet on the home side to win the toss. They have a 50 percent chance of doing so. If Delhi win the toss, they will likely choose to bowl first.
Pant hit a match-winning 41 the last time Delhi played Lucknow - and won. He will be back from his brief suspension and determined to consolidate his status as Delhi's leading run-scorer in the 2024 IPL.
Ahmed is potentially the best left-arm spinner in the IPL this year. He has taken 16 wickets this season as the Capitals' joint leading wicket-taker. His last two matches have brought four wickets.
Rahul has been remarkably consistent in the 2024 IPL. He has not scored under 16 in each of his last 10 innings. That stretch includes two half-tons and several other valuable innings. He is primed for success here.
LSG have needed someone to step up in Yadav's absence. Thakur has done that, to an extent, and is currently the team's top wicket-taker in the 2024 IPL. Look forward to another big performance from him.
The Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants will contest the 64th match of this year's Indian Premier League. The Capitals and Super Giants currently occupy positions in the bottom half of the 10-team points table. Both teams are still in contention for the play-off stage of the tournament, though.

Delhi have only won 50 percent of their last six fixtures in this year's Indian Premier League. They are struggling, but can still win their maiden IPL title. Their most recent defeats were to the Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Those losses flanked victory over the Rajasthan Royals. Let's see how they could fare against Lucknow.
The Capitals will have captain Rishabh Pant back for this fixture. He missed the match against RCB due to a one-match suspension for his team's slow over-rate in the fixture prior. Pant's return should be a big boost for Delhi. He is their leading run-scorer this season with 413 in 12 innings - and is striking at more than 150 per 100 deliveries.
Delhi have an outstanding pace pair in Mukesh Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed. They have taken 16 wickets each in this year's IPL and are among the best right- and left-arm combinations in the tournament. The Delhi Capitals also have the excellent left-arm wrist spin of Kuldeep Yadav at their disposal.
Lucknow had a successful start to their campaign three wins in their first four matches, but have since collected five losses, including three in their last four matches. Like Delhi, the Super Giants are battling to reach the play-offs, but can still win a maiden Indian Premier League title.
KL Rahul has been Lucknow's most prolific batter this season, scoring 460 runs in 12 innings. He has almost 100 runs more than any other Super Giants player in the 2024 IPL. The captain has, indeed, been a great example - and received solid support from Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran and others.
Lucknow's bowling department has under-performed. Their leading wicket-taker this year, Yash Thakur, has only managed 11 in 10 matches. Naveen-ul-Haq has 10 in eight. The Super Giants have really missed Mayank Yadav. The fast bowler has been sidelined by injury for the bulk of the tournament.
This will be the fifth match this IPL season at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in, Delhi. All four of the previous four fixtures brought decisions to bowl first at the toss.
The team to win the toss this time will likely take their cue from that record and choose to field first. Teams prefer to set - rather than chase - targets at this ground.
This has been among the highest-scoring venues in the 2024 IPL. It has produced four 200-plus first-innings totals. All four have been enough - the team to bat first has won on all four occasions.
A first-innings total of 210-plus should be competitive here. Both teams will likely play two specialist slow bowlers. No rain is forecast in Delhi on matchday. Hot conditions are anticipated.
Delhi have homeground advantage, their captain back in the XI and a bit more momentum than Lucknow. The Capitals' bowling form is stronger than Lucknow's, too.
Bet on 1.80 favourites Delhi Capitals to beat 2.00 underdogs Lucknow Super Giants in this match.
